Bird's Nest - Antique Log Cabin - West Jefferson

The bird nest is absolutely amazing place to stay in the West Jefferson area! The location is perfect, the house has everything you need for a great trip. The hot tub is amazing. The fire place was perfect for those cold evenings and nights. We rent a lot of vacation homes and would rate this in our top 5 places we have ever rented!

The ideal cute, cozy spot with plenty of privacy. It’s one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed, and we stayed in a lot of places. Has everything you need for a romantic getaway. Cabin was exactly as described. Very private and quiet but only 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson. Also right down the road from the Elk Shoals entrance to New River State Park. The hot tub and fireplace were amazing on the cold mornings and evenings. I had to call Stay Blue Ridge once before my stay and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay with them again.

We liked many things about this rental. Close to town, hot tub was great , great kitchen for eating in, comfortable bed…very cute little cabin and easy to get to.

Wonderful and relaxing visit to West Jefferson with just me and my pup. Such a lovely cabin with all of the amenities, a beautiful yard, a relaxing hot tub, wrap around porch, comfy furniture, plenty of privacy, peace and quiet. Could've stayed a month! A short but beautiful drive to town and the top of Mount Jefferson. Would love to stay again and next time will book directly with the company!!!

Perfect small cabin in a convenient location - gated side deck for the pup, large hot tub for the husband! Beautiful, well-maintained home in a nice neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!

The Bird's Nest was tucked away nicely for newely weds retreat.We loved the quotes and phrases throughout quaint cabin. The rustic atmosphere was wonderful. Can't wait to come back again.

This was such a gem of a place, we absolutely loved it. The historic feel, quiet, rustic, and relaxing are only a few words to describe this beautiful place. Would certainly recommend for anyone traveling to the West Jefferson or Boone area. The hot tub was so perfect after a day of hiking. The fact that we were able to bring our dogs to enjoy the outdoors with us made it that much more special. Thank you for your hospitality and we will certainly be back.

The Bird's Nest was the perfect getaway cabin for a quick anniversary weekend for my husband and I. The outdoor space was great with multiple seating areas and of course, the hot tub. The inside of the cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. Would love to come back!!

This little cabin has alot to offer and we will return! We enjoyed rocking on the front porch, reading many different books available to us, the games and grilling fabulous meals! The jacuzzi was relaxing after the long hikes that we managed to do. Thank you!

Loved the cute and quaint cottage style cabin. We were greeted with complimentary popcorn, hot cocoa, and bottled water. There were a few issues when we got there. We couldn’t get the family room TV to work and the propane tank for the gas fire pit was empty. There wasn’t anything provided to light the wood burning fireplace. Called management and everything was promptly taken care of the next day. We left the lighter we bought for the next guests. We enjoyed the hot tub and the quiet, peaceful setting. We watched deer graze in the yard a couple of times. West Jefferson was a great mountain town to visit. The mountains were beautiful. We’d stay again!

We will be back next year 4 a week in October. will reserve in next 3 Months. Only wish there were stair threads going up stairs 2 bed room. We r elderly and had 2 be very careful. Very close 2 everything we want 2 visit. loved cooking on grill every night.

Had an amazing getaway with a friend. Enjoyed looking at the very eclectic cabin. Stocked with what you need to cook etc. enjoyed grilling out and the hot tub. It was very nice to have water in the frig for us with some sweet words. Loved that there was beach towels, Just need to make sure dry all the way. They were put up damp so we had to re wash them. The only suggestions I have is to have a small hand held skimmer for the hot tub and also a step stool for you to get out of the hot tub easier. Also there is a step on the out door porch and I about broke my toe hitting it. A yellow piece of tape there would be helpful to remind you it’s there, as we spent most of our time outdoors, def loved the rocking chairs. It’s a cute little cabin great for a couple or a couple friends to enjoy. Def will come back.

I took my significant other up for Father's day getaway. It's the most adorable cabin. The bed was very comfortable. Walking around looking at all the decorations was great. We loved how it was decorated. We made all our meals and ate on the side porch. Last night we had two deer come visit right at the end of supper (which they provide deer corn to feel them) we will definitely be back. The only thing this cabin needs is a swing or a hammock

This gorgeous little cabin nestled just the right depth into nature was great. Th house has everything you need, cork screw was an essential, and a lot of wants. The bed was comfy and the hot tub clean. We will be returning :)

Cozy cabin located 10 minutes for West Jefferson. Quiet location and pet friendly. Great place to relax and unplug. Would love to have had access to the hot tub, but it is not operable.

The hot tub is a new addition not yet being advertised at this awesome property and is currently in the process of being properly installed. Weather conditions have caused some delays with the installation, but it should be up and running very soon for future guest.

Our was great. Would visit again. Overall the rental was clean and filled with yesteryear memo biliary takes you back in time. We had a great 42 Nd wedding anniversary. Would definitely visit again. It was convenient to West Jefferson and Jefferson.

The cabin was beautiful and the scenery was nice the deer in the yard was nice to watch in the evening, the only downfall was the home across the road was very junkie and at times was tight getting in and out of the driveway.

Birds nest was a nice, clean cabin with modern amenities. It's hard to find a antique mountain cabin with central heat and a/c. It's perfect for 2.Comes with a gas grill, and gas fire pit on deck. Nice wood burning FP. The bed was comfy. Close easy 10 minute drive into downtown West Jefferson, and 5-10 minutes to a parkway entrance.

The cabin was well appointed and quite comfortable for a couple. Perhaps one more person could have fit in, but i would recommend it for a couple. Only issue we had was the shower water control was a bit temperamental.

We wanted to be close to West Jefferson yet have a pleasant area to walk our corgi. This vrbo met those two needs. Easy access to Parkway. Property was clean and tidy and plenty of outdoor lighting. Indoor lighting was adequate but was poor especially in the living room/dining area, even though there were adequate wall outlets. In the evenings you can watch TV or be on your computer but reading a book enjoying a meal requires more lighting than was available. Deck is nice and large and secure to allow pets free reign. Also, there were a total of seven spoons. As others have remarked, there's a lot of pillows and decor that occupy most of the horizontal surfaces.

We regret to hear that not all of your needs were met during stay at our Bird?s Nest Log Cabin. As the property managers if you would have contacted us while you were here we could have been glad to brought you some extra lamps to supplement your lighting needs during the evening hours. We would have also been glad to have brought out extra silverware. We strive very hard to keep our the kitchens of our properties well stocked, but from time to time items go missing that we are not made aware of. We do appreciate you taking the time to leave us some feedback so that we can make our guest experiences great ones.

This log cabin is a gem! It is cozy, super comfortable, beautifully decorated, and, well-appointed. It had everything we needed. The setting was quiet and lovely ~ our own private mountain getaway. The antique log construction is amazing, and we were blown away by the restoration including all the modern amenities. It is obvious how much the owner/s love this property. We loved it so much, too, that we couldn't resist leaving a little token of appreciation that we found at an antique shop in Boone. We hope to stay there again soon!

We love Birds Nest
Wow what a wonderful cabin when you open up the door the smell of a fire and the vibe of American pride. So peaceful and just a perfect place to unwind. West Jefferson is only minutes away from shopping and don’t forget to stop on way back to Birds Nest to pick up some firewood for the fireplace. The hot tub is awesome. Let me just in closing say it’s off the chain. Hey one more thing don’t think about where it’s at because it will fool you. It’s been there sense 1988
