Green Meadows Log Cabin - Todd

This is our third trip to the Todd/West Jefferson area and it was another great trip. We really enjoy this cabin's location and this trip we got to watch Christmas trees being harvested in a field across the meadow, from the front porch of the cabin. The staff at Stay Blue Ridge is great, friendly, quick to respond, and never seem to be in a hurry if you call the office with questions. Looking forward to our next trip(maybe New Years 23??) Great views! House was very clean. Driveway was a bit challenging for my Rav 4 two wheel drive. We ended up parking at the top of the driveway and had no issues. We would definitely return again!

My husband and I went with our 3 daughters, son-in-law, and grandbaby. The house was clean and well stocked in the kitchen. Having laundry was handy with an infant. The upstairs bedroom was great for the baby and his parents since there was plenty of room for all the baby stuff. It is a bit of a trek to any town, but the views were amazing and well worth it.

This cabin is in a beautiful spot. Nice views of the mountains, Xmas tree farms, and open fields. Great bird and cattle watching by day and star gazing at night. The valley below the cabin has a magical lighting by fireflies in the evening. The cabin itself was very clean and well supplied. The beds were comfortable. The communications from Stay Blue Ridge were clear and easy to understand. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time staying in the Green Meadows Cabin. The cabin was very well equipped and we enjoyed the beautiful firepit almost ever night. Lot's of area for the kids to explore. Communication and support from StayBlueRidge was great. We would definitely stay at this cabin again.

We stayed in this cabin so we could visit Appalachian State University and spend some time hiking and exploring. The cabin was very clean and exactly as shown in the photos. We really enjoyed our time there. We went canoeing on the South Fork of the New River and we hiked to the top of Elk Knob, which was wonderful. At night, I saw more fireflies than I have ever seen at once. They were sparkling in the valley below. It was incredible. We saw wild turkey and lots of other wildlife from the porch.

Front porch view was magnificent. House was clean and nicely decorated.Called property manager with a question and she was professional and helpful. Only improvement I could recommend would be a better pathway with a hand rail down to the fire pit.

This cabin was nice but getting there on winding and narrow roads was difficult. Way out of town. Nothing to do there like ping pong or hot tub. Very steep drive way. Well equipped with all appliances working well. Plenty of towels and paper products. No garbage pick up..take it with you to town. One bed needed a stool to get up on it. Didn't know you would have to bring wood for the firepit.

A beautiful small cabin on top of a hill. We spent hours on the front porch gazing at the hills and watching over the cows (11 to be exact) on a nearby pasture. This cabin is perfect for an older couple or a very small family due to its size. It does have 3 bedrooms, but kitchen table is very small even when extended and there is no pantry an minimal cabinet space to put food. The washer And dryer is not in the main cabin area, it is below the house where you would have to go outside to access. There are two bathrooms that have only showers, no tub. I mention these not in an attempt to give a bad review, but to inform you what to expect when you plan your trip. I don’t think you can ask for a better location. It’s an half an hour from Boone and 25 minutes to West Jefferson. One day we got a sandwich at the Boone Publix and headed up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to view the fall colors. We found a beautiful picnic area called Price Lake Picnic area. I highly recommend this if you plan on stopping. We also went to Elk Nob state park and walked up to the summit. I am 59 and in not so great shape, but I was able to make the 1.9 mile hike. The view is spectacular when you reach the summit. I highly recommend this cabin if you plan on spending only a few days. We will not come back to this cabin again, but will rent again from the same agency and in the same location, but next cabin has to be pet friendly.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful. In the morning we drove the blue ridge parkway and enjoyed a hike and in the afternoon we sat on the porch of the cabin and watched the cows eat their way across the nearby hill. The cabin has everything you need. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal. We are already looking at the calendar for another weekend to rent!

We had a great vacation at the Green Meadows Log Cabin in Todd. One of our favorite things to do was to sit on the front porch in the rocking chairs and watch the cows in the pasture with the mountains in the background. The cabin was well stocked with the essentials and had some games also. The location is not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 45 minutes to an hour to Grandfather Mountain to the south and the Virginia Creeper Trail to the north. We would definitely consider coming back to this cabin.

The location was fabulous, short distances to both Boone and West Jefferson! The cabin had a gorgeous view and accommodated our family well. The only two suggestions I have would be to have a larger coffee pot as one pot was only enough for one person. Also, the blankets were a bit thin so in the colder months they didn’t do much for warmth. Overall the place was nice with a great view!

I rented this cabin for three months due to a job I had to complete in Boone, NC. The staff at the rental company was kind and helpful.
The cabin itself was clean and well equipped. The landscape was beautiful- looking out over the Christmas tree farm!
We enjoyed kayaking, tubing and fishing when we weren’t working.
If I ever have another job to do in Boone, I will definitely rent this cabin again.

We were thrilled with the Cabin and its amazing views! The cabin was better than expected. It was super clean, and had more than enough room for our family. The only thing it didn’t gave was a washer and dryer, but we didn’t need it for the two days we were there. We are looking to book again this summer, and are hoping one will be installed before then, since we are preparing to stay a full week. Either way, we LOVED this cabin and the location. Five stars for sure!

We had a wonderful time and the house exceeded our expectations. The house was clean and very well maintained. The view was gorgeous! We went into West Jefferson while we were there, it is a nice little town with a lot of friendly people. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked the same house for a weekend in September. LOVED IT!

This cabin was in a beautiful and peaceful setting. A hummingbird came to visit us everyday. The cabin was equipped with all you need and high quality linens and towels. The loft was like a separate living space. The only concern I had was the steep incline down to the fire pit and charcoal grill. I will be staying there again!
