- Pet friendly w/ fenced dog yard
- Wood-burning stone fireplace
- Minutes to Downtown West Jefferson
Quatra Vents - the four winds - is aptly named, sitting only a couple hundred feet below the 4000 foot peak behind it. The log cabin is located only minutes from West Jefferson, but you'll feel like you have the world to yourself. The cabin enjoys views in the late fall, winter and spring through the end of April. In the summer you'll feel you're in a treehouse with the birds and other wildlife passing by.
A wall of windows stretching high to the vaulted ceiling will make you say, "Wow!" The living room is centered around the stone wood-burning fireplace soars two stories. On cool evenings you can gather around, and imagine you are back in time, except all the modern conveniences remind you that you're right here, right now. And where you are is lucky enough to be in the High Country mountains.
Quatre Vents has an open floor plan with the kitchen and dining room just off the large vaulted living room - you'll say "wow" when you walk into this soaring room. The pine walls and floors are the perfect foil for the owners' creative use of black and red buffalo plaid throughout the tastefully decorated cabin. The comfortable living room seating includes a sofa and a futon (for extra guests). From this beautiful room, you step out onto the open deck where you'll find several tables for al fresco dining. If you gather to watch television in the evening, you'll have the entire Netflix selection at your fingertips. There's a TV that swivels between the dining room and the living room, and one in each bedroom on the main floor.
The kitchen and dining room are open to one another, with counter seating for two, and 8 at the dining table. Stylish metal chairs are complemented by comfortable cushions made with - you guessed it - buffalo plaid fabric. The well-designed u-shaped kitchen is bright with plenty of counter space, a double-sink, dishwasher and an armoire-style fridge, plus a gas range. Just one step onto the porch makes this cabin accessible.
There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, as well as 2 bathrooms. In the evening, after a day exploring the area, you'll sink into the comfortable queen bed in the master bedroom (with en suite bath), where you'll find a chair that's perfect for getting cozy with a good read. In the other bedroom you have a king-sized bed which converts to 2 twins. Upstairs in the loft, you'll find 4 twins adorably decked out in more buffalo plaid.
This cabin is also pet friendly - better still, there's a fenced dog yard where you can let your pets outside from the kitchen without having to go out yourself.

"We spent a wonderful week at the cabin in West Jefferson. Sitting on the back porch overlooking the enormous fenced-in yard was heaven. Our dog loved the freedom to investigate such a large, safe space. We also took advantage of the outdoor fire pit and grill. We loved the seclusion of the cabin but the close proximity to the cute town of West Jefferson. When you go into town be sure to eat at Havana Cafe and The New River Brewery. We will definitely be back!"
