"We had an amazing time here. The house was clean with detailed instructions and things to do in the area. The house was so peaceful and calm and beautifully decorated!!! The only concern we had was not having inside stairs between the two levels. It changed up our sleeping arrangements because our kids didn’t want to stay down there alone when it was raining. "

"I would recommend this house to anyone! The decoration was so well put together. The porch was the best feature of the house! We stayed out there a lot of our week stay. It was very private but not far from grocery stores and other shopping stores. A little bit farther from the river than what we wanted to be but it was nice. "A lovely mountain property! It is just as charming pictured. Very clean. The owner was very helpful and couldn't have been nicer. We really enjoyed spending time on the porch, tubing on the river and exploring West Jefferson. The stairs to the downstairs are outside and the last bit of the road getting to/from the house is steep. SUV recommended. We hope to return soon!"

"We had a wonderful time at Rendezvous, Too. The house was immaculate. We were there with our son and his wife and their 2 daughters. There was plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub and foosball table were a big hit. The outside porch was amazing. I never even sat inside! The fenced in yard was great for the pup - he could come and go as he pleased. The owners live nearby and we’re there if you needed them. Highly recommend. "

"This cabin is beautiful! Nicely decorated and very clean upon our arrival. We were in town in order to attend a wedding at the Twickenham House and needed to get the shuttle just 6 miles away at the Holiday Inn Express. It was close to town for dinners to Smokey Mountain BBQ and a grocery store. Even though it rained most of our stay we enjoyed the surrounds from walks down to the river. To watching the many different birds come to the bird feeder. We are now getting a bird feeder for our house near Rehoboth Beach, DE. Our puggle enjoyed the fenced yard and forest walks. This was our third rental through HomeAway to various locations. The staff for the cabin rental were very helpful. If we decide to return to the foot hills of North Carolina, we would love to rent this place again.

"I have nothing but wonderful words to express the quality of my families experience during our little get away. The staff from the rental company and the home owner was nothing less than excellent. Questions were answered accurately, professionally, but with a down to earth quality about them. The owner came over and turned the lights on inside and outside being we came in after dark and helped us unload our luggage. Our family has visited many places but this was the first time we have ever received this kind of hospitality!!! I am unable to express my gratitude to everyone and will definitely be using this company again along with this home. If I could rate the cleanliness and helpfulness it would be a 10 out of a 5. "We go each year to West Jefferson for our Christmas Tree and by far this is now our new favorite cabin to rent. They fenced in yard for the dogs made this such a stress free trip not having to worry about our pets wondering away. This home is decorated perfectly and feels like a home more than a rental. Kitchen is VERY well stocked for anything you need. Only suggestion would be to add a crock pot but I can always bring mine from home."

"We enjoyed the cabin very much. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The porch is amazing. We would love to come back during the summer so we can enjoy the porch , to cold in November. The kitchen has everything you need. I have a couple suggestions: needs king size bed in master also the fire pit sits on the side of a hill not very useable. Everything else was perfect. "

"I can't think of a negative thing to say. The place was immaculate, very tastefully decorated and cozy. The beds were comfortable, We had cable, internet and lots of peace and quiet. The view of the river was fantastic but it was helped by the fact that all the leaves were off the trees. Very good experience."

"This house is beautifully appointed and the porch is to die for. You are just going to want to sit out on the porch and take it all in. The setting is peaceful. There's a great view of the river from the living room - you can sit and take it all in from the comfy couch! The beds are comfy and my dog also enjoyed her stay. The downstairs was a perfect place to stay for me an my dog - it's a separate unit with an outside entrance, but it is well appointed. I made one suggestion to the owner that it would be even better with a mini-fridge and she said she was going out to get one for future renters! My sisters and I will definitely be back."

"This is a beautifully designed two bedroom, two bath cabin. The porch is gorgeous with a sectional couch, comfy chairs, and a table with lots of seating. It is perfectly stocked with all you need or want. The decor is very well done and not very cabiny. There are hiking trails, fishing, and all kinds of outdoor activities nearby. A truly wonderful place to stay!"

"This was this most enjoyable, dog-friendly, absolute best place I have ever stayed. I wanted to quit my job, sell my house and live here forever. 3 professionally decorated bedrooms, the 3rd one on it's own floor/suite, made the cabin seem bigger than it was. And the view overlooked the river and the forest, which made it so enjoyable to wake up to. No other houses in sight, the closest one about 100 or so yards away through the woods, it was great for letting the dogs run around without worrying about them bothering anyone. Not that we needed to let them out, with the fenced in yard right off the front porch. The owners even left a filled dog bowl out for when we arrived. Everywhere you turned there were unique decorative touches and little things that you probably wouldn't think to bring with you- first aid kits, magazines, movies, etc. And the town of West Jefferson offers plenty to do for the 2 days we stayed there. Antiquing, a cheese factory, a farmers market, shops, restaurants, etc. I stay in a lot of cabins (we usually try out a new one every year) but I think this is the first one I want to stay in again and again. 5 out of 5 stars."

Thank you for the wonderful feedback. "Rendezvous Too" is also located next door to "Rendezvous at the River" and between the two properties can accommodate up to 14 guests. Our "Rendezvous" properties are great individually for couples and family or together for your larger groups.

"Oh my goodness! This was the BEST mountain house we've ever stayed at! ? Every inch of the property had detailed, tasteful touches of the owners. They obviously have such an eye for design because every room was decorated with the upmost care. We loved that it was pet friendly and that both our dogs could go with us on our family getaway! They liked having the little fenced in yard that was connected to the spacious porch .... which by the way added an entire outdoor living space. It soon became one of our favorite places to relax, have dinner, read a good book or just sit and talk to each other. Our 20 yr old son enjoyed having his own " private pad" downstairs with a cool foosball table. However, we all enjoyed soaking in the hot tub just outside the downstairs. Our 17 yr old daughter enjoyed her own comfy bed and beautifully decorated bathroom. Our bedroom also overlooked the wooded area and exposed peeks of the New River. My husband and son enjoyed walking down to the river in the early mornings to do some fly fishing. Thanks for providing such a WONDERFUL, RELAXING, BEAUTIFUL HOME away from home!!! We had a fabulous time staying at Rendezvous Too!"
