The Pour House - Todd

From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd picked the perfect house. When you first walk in, you're greeted with this amazing smell of wood. This was the cleanest home we've ever rented. Every room was perfectly cared for. The pictures can't do it justice. You have a big kitchen with everything you need to cook meals. The bedrooms were so comfortable with the softest linens and black out curtains. We spent a lot of time on the porch and listening to the river was so peaceful. It's just a 10 minute ride to downtown Boone. We went hiking, shopping and dining. The couch in the basement was so comfortable and cozy to watch movies. We had a bit of a problem turning off the fireplace, but the response was timely and we were able to turn it off rather quickly. My dog was welcomed with bowls for food and water and the bedroom had a dog bed for him. The backyard is spacious and peaceful. Pour House will be an annual visit for us. So happy to have found it.

We loved the house. Very clean. Only thing I have a complaint is we only had 1 towel and 1 wash rag each for three nights. We would stay again but would make sure we had enough towels and wash rags. Having the New River behind us was wonderful. Our grandchildren loved it.

What an incredible property. The owners did an amazing job after the horrific flooding. Everything was in place and our stay was terrific! The location is perfect. We watched deer and people were super-friendly. Went to the sweetest little concert in Todd and met some wonderful people. The home has EVERYTHING you need. Kitchen is well-equipped and management responsive. YOU WILL LOVE IT.

The Pour House was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained property! The beds were so comfy and the kitchen well equipped. We had a lovely time enjoying the river access, relaxing hot tub, and the downstairs movie/rec area with our kids! Our dogs loved the back deck and the river swimming! The surrounding areas of Boone and West Jefferson offer great hikes, restaurants, and there is a great tubing company located just 4 minutes from the house. Stay Blue Ridge did a wonderful job communicating with us and we are already looking at booking again for next year! Don't forget to look outside at dark at all the stars and the firefly show across the river! Thank you again for such an amazing family vacation spot! The Allens

We've been coming to Todd for years now. We've stayed at many places on Railroad Grade Road, this house is the best place so far. Thank you so much. My family and I had a fantastic time. My Mother went in the river for the first time and had the best time. She's 83. Thank you for a great memory.

Wonderful, holiday, vacation. The house was well, stock, with supplies. Lots of cookware, flatware, dishes, and, other necessities. Very clean. Neat. The water, does have a sulfur, odor. But, gets less noticeable after, a few, days. The view from the kitchen, is beautiful. The house is, just, a few feet from the River. If you get bored, on a beautiful day, take a chair and sit by The New River. Tubers are a source of entertainment. Nice place to call “home” for a few, days!

My family and I highly recommend the Pour House. The cabin was very spacious with plenty of amenities for my teenage kids. The view of the river was stunning. We will definitely rent the Pour House again.

Where do I start! We throughly enjoyed staying at The Pour House. The river was amazing and so was the access. We enjoyed smores by the fire, playing ping pong and the view of the river. We just love Todd, NC. It's off the beaten path but still 20 min to local attractions! The log cabin was very well maintained and clean! Nice comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen items! The grill was wonderful for my husband to cook on. There are gates with latches on the back upper porch so your fur babies don't get out! We really appreciate that. We had two small families consisting of 7 total people and we had plenty of room! We would definitely recommend staying here and we most definitely want to come back!

The Pour House on The New River is a nice spacious house. The house provides all the needed accessories to enjoy a vacation. Kitchen is stocked with basic necessities. It's clean. The location is great. River access right in the back yard. Wonderful back porch to relax and watch people float down the river. Close to Boone and/or West Jefferson

The Pour House has all the good feels that I imagined a home on the river should be like. The home was clean, inviting, and just hugged you upon arrival. So much fun to watch the activity on the river up close and personal. From nature to folks floating by on kayaks or tubes, we were entertained from morning to evening. The covered porch was always a cool place to sit anytime of day. The huge deck was a great place to catch a few rays. Everything we needed or wanted for a week's vacation was there for us and the location was convenient to Boone, West Jefferson, Blowing Rock and beyond. Without hesitation, we would HIGHLY recommend the Pour House for your next mountain get away !

We loved our stay at The Pour House in Todd with the South Fork of the New River running right behind the house. Nice improvements since our last stay including expanded deck and the river put-in, take-out and bank stabilization. Kitchen was well supplied, comfortable beds, gas grill was in good working order, plenty of outdoor chairs.

Our family with our adult children stayed here and really enjoyed it! It's so close to the river that you can sit on the porch and hear it. We had brought kayaks and tubes and were able to put them in the river at Todd Island and take out at the house. We also did a tube down river and put in from our house. It was very convenient. The only complaint is the upstairs bedrooms were a little warm because there is no air-conditioning up there. I'm sure if we had put the fans in front of the windows it would've been fine. We enjoyed bringing some chairs down by the river's edge where there's a nice grassy bank to sit on. We also appreciated that it was pet friendly. Our dog loved romping along the river and napping in the sun. Also, there was a problem with the refrigerator on our second day, and the management company was so responsive that they had a new refrigerator out the next day. We really appreciated that! We would definitely come back! P.S. It's important to keep pets on a leash as the road in front of the house has a good bit of cars speeding by.

We've stayed at the Pour House several times. Perfect place to be if you are looking for quiet time. The river in the back is beautiful and so relaxing. We love Todd. West Jefferson and Boone are only a small distance away. Book it...you want regret it.

The house was more than expected, we have rented many cabins and by far the owners had everything in mind to meet renters needs. The river access and new deck are wonderful, fire pit and so many chairs to choose from to enjoy the outdoors. The best was 'SHARP' knifes, I always bring a chef's knife and a sharpener because so many places have dull knifes for food prep. I realize this may seem to be a small thing, but it just points to the level of detail the owners have for this cabin. We will definitely recommend it and will stay again.

We had a great week while staying at the Pour House. This was our third time staying in Todd but first time at this cabin. I have to admit when I first booked it there was only review at the time, and was told by the rental office it was a new rental and that we would love it. This cabin was in a perfect location and she didn't lie, we loved it!! My husband and son loved having direst access to the river for fishing and I enjoyed listening to it while sitting on the porch. This cabin was very clean when we arrived and had plenty of space in all the rooms and plenty of kitchen supplies. The downstairs was a perfect spot for the kids to hang out too. We love staying in that area it's so peaceful and we will plan to come back to the Pour House.

This was my second time at the Pour House, and it won't be the last. Upon arrival everything was clean. Linens and towels well stocked. Kitchen had all the essentials for cooking and eating. We kept the windows open and fans on for air flow until it was just too hot and the A/C worked well. Everything is in great working order. Location was exactly what we were looking for. On the river, close to attractions. Plenty of seating everywhere- on the deck, porch, outside by the fire pit. We spent 8 days and wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely well stocked super clean cabin. Great location and fun for a group. three nice sized bedrooms with comfy beds. We will definitely rent again and next time bring the family dog. The river is an extra bonus.

Great Location! We enjoyed our bike rides & hanging out on the back deck listening to the river. Everything in the house was working & all the utensils/pots/pans seemed nice.

The house was very clean and easy to find. We have stayed in this area numerous times at other homes. This one met all of our needs and is close to Boone and West Jefferson. It is pet friendly. We could not find anything to complain about with this home. The only problem I have with a lot of the rental properties is that they don't have satellite tv. They all seem to have the roku tv. But we don't spend a lot of time at the home during the day. It was nice to hear the river running by at the back of the property. Will definitely stay here again if it is available on the dates we need.

Loved our stay at Pour House. The cabin was perfect for our small family with 2 dogs. The cabin is nicely decorated and has everything you need to enjoy NC, plus has a game room downstairs. It took about 15-20 minutes to get to Boone or any of the surrounding towns. Beds were comfortable, might big our own pillows next time. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

I thought the staff at Stay Blue Ridge was great every time I called with questions. I would use them again but now we have our home in West Jefferson. Pour house was great and would recommend it to others.
