We have been renting cabins in the Ashe/Watauga county area for 20 years, and this is one of our favorites. Very close to downtown West Jeff, minutes to Old Barn Winery, spectacular views, clean, comfortable, well appointed and the nicest covered outdoor sitting/cooking/entertainment area we have seen, complete with outdoor fireplace (gas), a nice gas grill, prep table and plenty of seating. Stay Blue Ridge always does a great job managing their properties and they make the booking process easy. We rarely stay in the same cabin twice but we will be back to Buena Vista.

We had a wonderful time at Buena Vista Log Cabin. We stayed two weeks in July to escape the heat!. Everything was clean and functional. Very peaceful location that felt private and secluded but minutes from West Jefferson. The outside covered patio had awesome views where we could read as well as have most of our meals. Great visit.

We LOVED our stay at Buena Vista!! This is a beautiful cabin with a Spectacular view of the mtns. The cabin was well stocked,comfortable beds, close proximity to quaint downtown West Jefferson! We hiked and loved seeing deer and chipmunks and many birds. The outdoor area was wonderful but one disappointment was the outdoor gas fireplace was broken. We look forward to returning and being able to enjoy this feature!! Can't wait to come back!!

Buena Vista is a VERY nice property. My wife and I were there in late January to enjoy some hiking in the area. We loved that the house felt remote and private, yet we were so close to town. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor amenities other than the hot tub, but they looked very nice. We've rented many cabins in western NC and this is one we'd like to return to.

Outstand cabin with the best view of the mountains possible. The covered outdoor area was excellent. We used this area a lot. Nice three bedroom three bath home.

Beautiful home and amazing views. We enjoyed our couples trip in this cozy home. It fit our group and had all the room and amenities we needed. Kitchen was stocked with all the utensils for good meals and wonderful fellowship.

Cabin was beautiful and peaceful. Wonderful women's weekend. Rooms were perfect for our trip. Looking forward to booking again next spring and taking spouses. Can say enough about the comfort and beauty of this cabin. Only two thing that would improve this cabin to excellent is the kitchen spices (they had none— not even salt or pepper— we forgot ours) and the rough single ply tp. See you next spring.

I have rented many places in Ashe County over the years and this was the second best cabin I have stayed in. The outdoor living space is huge and the interior of the cabin is well laid out and well furnished. The view West is good- perhaps not as good as ridge top, but very nice. I'll be back.

Wonderful place, super nice. The road going in needs to have limbs trimmed back, it’s a little tight in places.. 1 to 10-this place is a 12.. Highly recommend.

This is an awesome rental! I have never stayed in such a well equipped rental. Everything you could possibly need for a vacation stay was provided. The decks were furnished with nice furniture and the view was spectacular. The furniture in the cabin was nice and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again and intend to come back this fall if at all possible. Feels very isolated but it is not far into town.
