Camp 4 is a cluster of log-cabin-style tiny homes located one mile from downtown West Jefferson. Cabin #2 is named for Mount Jefferson, the crown jewel of Ashe County’s landscape. Standing at more than 4,600 feet in elevation, the peak stands out no matter where you are within the town of WJ.

Sleeping arrangements: Camp 4’s Mount Jefferson cabin sleeps two in a king-size bed.

Main level: Experience the convenience of a tiny home with the amenities of a full-sized cabin. A fully equipped kitchen features a mini fridge, microwave, cooktop, and dishwasher. The living area and bedroom each have their own FireTVs. During the winter months, cozy up next to the gas fireplace. Freshen up in the bathroom, featuring a tiled walk-in shower.

Camp 4 Mount Jefferson comes with WiFi, mini-split AC and heating units, and streaming-enabled TVs.

All Stay Blue Ridge vacation rentals include a complimentary starter pack with soaps, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, dishwasher pods, and trash bags.
Outdoor Spaces
- Camp 4’s Mount Jefferson #2 and Grand Teton #3 share an outdoor charcoal grill. Make new friends, or rent both for a group vacation.
- The front patio comes equipped with comfortable patio furniture. From the patio, you can catch views of Ashe County’s most famous peaks, Mount Jefferson.

At Camp 4, you are within one mile of downtown West Jefferson. Take a leisurely walk or drive into town to explore the many shops, boutiques, antique stores, and galleries West Jefferson has to offer. You have plenty of options for food and drinks, with some of our favorites including Red Dog Bar & Bistro, New Rivery Brewery, and Boondocks Brew Haus and Restaurant.

This central location puts you less than a 10-minute drive from many of Ashe County’s biggest attractions, such as Mount Jefferson State Park, Ashe Co. Cheese Factory, and Old Barn Winery. Seasonal festivals and gallery crawls are a must, so take note of all of the local events happening during your visit.

Just 30 minutes away is the larger town of Boone, home to Appalachian State University. Head up to App State to catch a football game in the fall, or take an adventure to King Street, Boone’s main downtown strip. Close by is the town of Blowing Rock, a quaint mountain town filled with unique shops and restaurants.

Visiting in the spring, summer, or fall? Journey out to the historic New River for a relaxing canoe, kayak, or tube float, or take a drive on the famous Blue Ridge Parkway for some of the most stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains you can find in the High Country.

During the winter, you just have to make time for a trip to Appalachian Ski Mountain for a fun day filled with skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and ice skating.

Access: Camp 4 Tiny Cabins are located directly off US 221 and are easily accessed year-round. For mountain adventuring and winter travel, we recommend 4WD or AWD.

Parking: Camp 4’s Mount Jefferson cabin has one parking spot located in front of the cabin.

Camp 4 Tiny Homes do not come with a washer/dryer. Please plan accordingly.

The cabin was quite comfortable and well equipped. As we are elderly the ability to park and unload at the door was appreciated (this ability is available for cabin 1-4). The shower was spacious with good water pressure but there was no place to put soap or shampoo which was very inconvenient and there were no hand rails. Our friends were staying in cabin 1 and we were in 2. We thought we would be side by side but we were not. Cabin 1 is isolated from the rest of the group and is very private. If you want to be adjacent then use 2-3 and/or 4. The location provides easy access in and out of West Jefferson. We would definitely stay again.

We checked in on Sunday June 23, 2024 and the cabin was absolutely gorgeous. We first noticed the cabin was nestled between the trees & the two nice chairs on the deck. In the middle,of the chairs, was beautiful outside wood/glass French doors. As we entered we first noticed how quiet and peaceful it was. We were very impressed when we entered. The living room had a beautiful gas fireplace with a large television above it and a comfy couch, a dinette for two, beautifully decorated with windows around the top edge of the entire cabin that gives a nice calming affect throughout the cabin. The cabin was nice and clean and equipped with a full kitchen, a two burner stove, microwave, refrigerator,toaster,coffee pot w two large coffee mugs,ice-maker, with all utensils including pans,plates, glasses and storage cabinets,with a beautiful granite counter top. The bathroom/shower was beautiful with a gorgeous amber colored bowl for the sink with beautiful lighting fixtures above the sink and throughout the bathroom and the entire cabin. The bathroom was fully stocked with towels & toiletries. The bedroom had a large very comfortable king size bed, dresser, night stands & a large dresser and television. Both the living room decor was beautiful with the large pictures of a Black Bear. The cabin had 2 very quiet Mitsubishi Split Units that kept the entire cabin at a perfect temperature by removing the humidity especially, in the bedroom. That gave us wonderful nights sleep. After the first night we decided to extend our stay from Sunday to checking out on Thursday morning. After staying the first night, my husband said,"Honey we can do this again." I immediately responded,"Yes we can." We also noticed there was a grill outside but we didn't use it. Everything was so beautiful and quiet.
