This was a long weekend getaway for my husband, our daughter and me (and our little dog) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabin is spectacular - LOVE the wood beams, the decorative touches, the porch off the master bedroom, the beautiful deck, the fire pit, the fireplace, and ALL OF THE BOOKS! We enjoyed walking the area and the peaceful quiet. The home was very clean, which is a big deal to me. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had every possible item you could ever need. Our daughter enjoyed playing the Pacman machine and the Wii video game. We enjoyed the little shops in Lansing and also had a great visit to West Jefferson. We will be back to Crest Cabin for sure!

Cabin is very charming and perfect for relaxing, chilling by the fire, reading a good book, playing games with family. We love a wood fireplace, but disappointed that owners don't provide or guarantee wood.(that was new to me as every Cabin we have rented, a bundle of wood was provided for each night of stay) Cabin is well appointed with any gadget you could possibly use in the kitchen. Owners thought of everything.

This was our second stay at Crest Cabin this year, and the first time in over 15 years we have stayed at the same cabin in Ashe or Watauga county. Nice open layout, beautiful deck, comfortable bedrooms and living area. The kitchen has plenty of kitchenware for cooking and serving, but there is plenty of space for your own provisions. It's also one of the cleanest cabins we have rented, despite being dog friendly. Stay Blue Ridge does an excellent job as property managers, with clear communication and accommodation. This house was beautiful inside and out. The owners have taken great pride in the decorating and the amenities they provided. The beautiful porch out back is huge, comfortable seating. I have never seen a kitchen so well stocked from spices to gadgets to cookware. The beds were comfy. Our only suggestion would be to have a step stool to get into the master bed. It was a little difficult given that I am short which made getting into the comfortable king size bed. I would also recommend an electric or digital thermometer as the 2 thermometers did not work. We had the best time sitting, relaxing and enjoying and exploring the area.

We have rented literally dozens of cabins in WNC over the years, and this is one of the nicest. Excellent design, craftsmanship and attention to detail make this a relaxing and comfortable stay. Convenient to the Jeffersons and Lansing with easy access (recommend AWD or 4WD in winter). Clean, spacious and well appointed, we have never rented the same cabin twice only because we like to check out different areas, but we will definitely return here. Stay Blue Ridge always does an excellent job with rental management.

My family LOVED staying here for Easter 2025! The home was well stocked with toys for the kids, and everything needed in the kitchen - including a sand mixer for baking! It was cozy, and the patio is absolutely beautiful. This home was the perfect retreat and just what we needed.

This was our second stay at Crest Cabin. We had a wonderful time! This is one of my favorite cabins. So comfortable and the location is excellent for hiking and biking. We did our best to spend money locally as the damage from Helene in the local community was heartbreaking. The cabin is spacious but cozy. Gorgeous yet comfortable. Very well equipped. Originally we had planned to stay right after Helene hit. But the owners and Stay Blue Ridge allowed us to bump our reservation out a few months. We were very thankful.

We stayed at the Crest Cabin for a few days and it was the perfect trip! The cabin has plenty of space for guests, well equipped and very clean! We enjoyed sitting on the back porch at the end of the day, the deer visited all throughout the day and the office was very responsive to anything we need or had questions on. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Crest Cabin with our 2 dogs for 2 weeks in late August. Coming in, we didn't really know the area well and Stay Blue Ridge helped a lot in narrowing down the options. First impressions of the cabin were: 1. It was easy to reach - yes you do have to drive uphill on a gravel road, but we have a Highlander suv and had no problem 2. It was very well equipped - plenty of towels, excellent kitchen with everything you need, washer/dryer worked well, stocked with basics to give you time to go to the store 3. It was beautiful inside and out - like living in a treehouse really! we really enjoyed the large outdoor deck w/ comfy furniture and the small porch outside of the master bedroom, we saw hummingbirds on some days After we settled in and got supplies (highly recommend Ingles), we realized that the cabin was in the perfect spot to reach a lot of the outdoor activities we wanted to do while in the area. We LOVED the park and trail in Lansing for daily dog walks and we ventured to Mount Jefferson, New River State Park and Grayson Highlands for additional hiking. You're close enough to West Jefferson and even Boone if you want to go into town, but you're far enough away that you feel very "away" and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. One thing I was concerned about was the wi-fi and cell service, but we got great reception for wifi and cell (Verizon) while we were there. If you need to work while at the cabin, one of the upstairs bedrooms has a great desk and even an additional monitor that you can use to create a work station. There is an additional smaller desk in the upstairs with a monitor that can be used as a second work station. Entertainment wise, the cabin has lots of games and books, the tv is a little hard to connect to wifi but we figured it out, the Pac Man arcade game upstairs is fun too. If your family does watch a lot of tv, I would recommend bringing your own Roku device from home and hooking it up at the cabin, that way you can get all of your streaming there the way you want it. All in all we had a terrific trip and would recommend this cabin to others - just don't book in August because I think we want to come back every year!!

We loved staying at Crest Cabin! The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well taken care. We wanted to venture to Grayson Highlands and VA Creeper Trail and the house was in a good location to get to those as well as great areas in NC. We enjoyed just hanging at the house (tons of games, movies, & books!) and building campfires in the fire pit. The back porch was so nice to relax on and listen to the birds! The river is not easily accessible from the house but it was too cold for us anyways. The road is also gravel and a little off the beaten path but we had no trouble with it in our minivan (winter may be a different story). If we came back to West Jefferson area we would definitely look to book this house again!

This cabin is excellent! We had such a great vacation. The location was perfect for hiking and biking local trails. The cabin is well equipped with nice furnishings. Very comfortable with a huge deck to enjoy some outdoor grilling and reading. It was obvious the owners tried to think of every comfort for guests. Will definitely plan to visit this cabin again!

Stunning home nestled in the mountains. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had a wonderful long weekend stay with our friends to include long hikes, relaxing on the deck, and fantastic family dinners from well equipped kitchen and gas grill. There was a small issue with refrigerator - the property management team advised in advance and provided fair options for resolution - communication was excellent. A fantastic experience from start to finish. We only wish we had more time. Thank you!

Met and exceeded my expectations. The place was beautiful. The game chest was awesome. We enjoyed the fireplace and all the great deck views in the morning. We did activities in Damascus Va and Grayson Highlands as well as downtown West Jefferson Would recommend to anyone and hopefully we can come back

We enjoyed the house and the terrific book collection. There are some live wasps, and one of our group was stung in the upstairs bedroom with 1 bed.

Crest Cabin is lovely! It was very clean when we arrived and instructions for the cabin (wifi, tv, etc) very clear. Really, the only negative for us was the very low water pressure. We had three people so it worked out ok but I would not bring a larger group. For example, while a single person was showering, the water starts out strong then quickly loses pressure. Also, while one person showering, the pressure at kitchen sink was extremely low.

This cabin is above and beyond. It is definitely tucked back into the woods, but it was spotless and all furnishings were lovely. The kitchen was VERY well appointed, with really nice cookware, plates, glasses, silverware, baking dishes. We lacked for nothing during our stay. The fireplace was fantastic and there really was "plenty" of firewood available. We will be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!!!

Adult kids and one grandson visited us on the weekend enhancing our time in the mountains. A full and relaxing week in this lovely cabin makes leaving bittersweet. We loved our stay at Cabin Crest! The cabin is so clean and just gorgeous. We had privacy & seclusion but were close to West Jefferson. We loved the game closet and played some of the kids movies for our daughter as well. Would definitely recommend for any family to stay here.

The whole family loved the cabin, and is planning to return. It was very spacious, super clean and well maintained, well stocked, with lovely rustic but quality finishes and amenities. So happy that our pup could come with us, yet the cabin did not show any 'effects' of pet visits. The only thing we could not find were hangars in the downstairs bedroom!

We rented this cabin for Thanksgiving and absolutely loved everything about it. Best part we got to bring our furry family member. Not too far from shopping, It was beautiful, had comfortable beds, plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen,games, smart tv, great Wifi, wood burning fireplace with plenty of wood, grill, gorgeous views and my entire family absolutely loved our stay, so much so none of us wanted to leave! Will definitely make this a frequent rental. One of our most favorite vacation stays by far!

My wife & I stayed at Crest Cabin 11/11 - 11/14. The cabin is stunning, well-stocked, and has mountain views from almost every window. We really enjoyed the fireplace and serenity of the location. The mattress in the first floor Master bedroom was VERY firm, so keep that in mind if you have more than one couple staying. We opted to sleep in the queen bed upstairs, which was a little softer. I would recommend a tarp to go over the firewood outside. We arrived after Lansing got over 4" of rain and had a hard time getting the wood dry enough to burn in the fireplace. As another reviewer mentioned, an upgrade to the TV subscription would be nice so you could watch movie channels, but you do have access to Netflix, Prime Video, etc. if you already subscribe to any of those. Loved the home decor. We will definitely be back for another stay here soon!

Crest is a spacious, impressive timber frame cabin. Well-stocked with all kitchen equipment and accessories. The towels and linens are first rate.
The only constructive criticism is the need for a better cable TV package to go with a wonderful TV and sound system!

The Crest Cabin was lovely. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you'll need for daily meals. The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The towels and sheets were very good quality. The driveway was difficult for motorcycles but it's short so we just loaded passengers at the end of the driveway. Queen bed in 2nd bedroom was found to be uncomfortable but that may just be personal preference. They even provided a dog bed and bowls. All in all, I thought it was wonderful and would recommend to friends.
