We loved this property and would definitely rent again when in the area. The owners have thought of everything. Kitchen was well-equipped Beds were comfy. The back area of the house had a nice fire pit, excellent hot tub and large outdoor dining table. We loved the screened in porch on the front of the house. It had a several seating areas and tables to relax on the porch. We saw deer every morning and evening across the street. This house was immaculate. The house cleaners did the best job of any home we have ever had the pleasure of staying at.

We love this house. Clean, no fuss decor, one level and easy access make it a winner for us older folks. One suggestion would be to replace the living room furniture which needs repairs. Hope to see updates when we return next year.

Our New Years tradition in 2024 took us back to the “High Country” again. Our favorite cabin was booked, but we were able to fit in to the available dates @ Firefly Fields. It is a very nice cabin in Fleetwood that makes getting to West Jefferson very easy. The subdivision is great for walking, plus quiet, and we got to enjoy watching the horses and donkeys in the pasture across the street from the cabin. Thanks for another really good stay!

Seeing the North Carolina Mountains from the eyes of my three year old Granddaughter was so beautiful and uplifting! My daughter, granddaughter, and I traveled from Eastern NC for a vacation we plan every Fall. Driving up to Firefly Fields was a great location, and what a surprise to oversee a pasture with ponies and donkeys that greeted us every morning! In the midst of the devastation Western North Carolina has experienced, to arrive to a beautiful house and scenery, it felt like all the comforts you need in a home. Everything we needed was in the home. Our adventurous spirit was met with everything we hoped for on our visit! Blessed are the people from WNC showing kindness and strength!

We enjoyed our stay at Firefly Fields. It was the perfect location for our BlueRidge Relay over the weekend and had everything we needed. The screened in porch was my favorite part! It was the perfect weather to be out there enjoying the crisp, mountain air! I also enjoyed prepping my muscles for the run in the hot tub. We would pick this property again next year for the relay. I enjoyed the rural aspect of it with the donkeys across the street and the mountains within view.

We booked this place for our 13th anniversary and we could not have chosen a better spot! Kitchen was equipped, beds were super comfy, everything was pristine and everything advertised was present and functional, including hot tub. We were very impressed with Firefly fields! Travelling with small children and a handicapped adult made this cabin the perfect place, as it was a single level cabin, which can be difficult to find sometimes. Although it was single level, there was still plenty of room for everyone! The master bedroom and shower were amazing and the furniture in the living room was comfortable. The fireplace was much needed one night and the kitchen was well stocked. This cabin was right off of a main highway, making it easy to find and get to. There was a beautiful view, equipped with horses and donkeys. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again!

Absolutely amazing stay at Firefly Fields!! Highly recommend! The donkeys and ponies in the pasture across from the cabin were such fun to interact with. The cabin was spotless....kudos to your housekeeper!! Probably the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Also, the labels were a helpful feature especially for the lights and fans. Only negative thing was the firmness of the mattress in the master bedroom. Recommend you add a pillow mattress cover. 🙂 Love the location and everything else about this location. Can't wait to stay again!

This is a beautiful house on the inside with high ceilings and big bedrooms. The kitchen was roomy enough to cook a meal or two. The living room great for games...the hot tub area is out of the wind so we enjoyed it in January! Such a nice stay!

We stayed for several days and enjoyed the cabin very much. It was quite comfortable and cozy with plenty of space for the four of us (including working remotely on and off throughout our stay). Wifi was good. Horses across the road (Cash and Guinness) were wonderful and we fed them apples and carrots every day! Location was great and convenient to what we were in the area for. We didn't use the hot tub. We received a message prior to our stay that said we would be provided with a "starter pack" of amenities, including one roll of paper towels, one extra trash bag, etc. We did find this a little odd, as we have been STR owners/hosts before and always provided amenities to make guests comfortable for their entire stay. Regardless, as we were staying for five nights, we wanted to stop at the store on our way from the airport in Charlotte. I asked the host for more info on what items we'd need to purchase for our stay but didn't receive much clarification. We purchased salt, pepper, coffee, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, etc. etc. etc. Upon our arrival, we found there were several of these items already there (and in a larger quantity than we were previously told). It would have been very helpful to know we didn't need to buy ALL the provisions we hauled to the house with us in our rental car. Despite this, we had a great time at the cabin and would love to stay there again. Would just recommend the host be more clear with regard to what is provided and what is not, what type of coffee pot (so you know what kind of coffee to buy in advance, as coffee is not provided), and so forth. Overall, a fantastic vacation rental that we enjoyed very much!

Gorgeous cabin and beautifully maintained. Very spacious and roomy, easily accommodates 3 couples. Somehow the cabin seems much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside which it gives it a bit a Harry Potter vibe (haha). Would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all.

Firefly cottage was a great location with equal distance to Boone and West Jefferson. Both are exceptional mountain towns. The cabin is also minutes from the Blueridge Parkway. Perfect location. It was comfortable and had everything necessary. I wish I had known it had a hairdryer and other things I took because I didn’t know and didn’t want to take the chance It was decorated very nicely without being over done. I’ve been in vacation rentals that were so full of decor that I could barely set down a coffee cup let alone my belongings. This cottage was perfect. Lots of room for suitcases and personal belongings. Yes there are fireflies even in late august and the horse were a nice touch. There is some road noise but otherwise very private. The hot tub and star gazing was wonderful. Enjoy the fire pit being a tall one to be seen from the hot tub. Very thoughtful set up all around.

We enjoyed the cabin for it's convenient location to West Jefferson, Boone, Blowing Rock. All the equipment worked well [tv's, hot tub, barbeque, etc.] and the screen porch was a delightful place to take afternoon naps and watch the fireflies in the evening. Easy access to the cabin off of 221 and no 'scary steep' roads made my dearest darling happy. Very well managed property and Aryn at Stay Blue Ridge was very professional and helpful. Bottom line: we would stay here again!

I have been renting cabins twice a year in the general area for over 12 years and this have been the best so far. We have very specific needs due to riding motorcycles. We need paved access and plenty of parking with 3 SUV's with motorcycle trailers and this place worked out great. The cabin was extremely nice and comfortable for 3 couples. Also all the rooms on the same floor is a bonus too. Best stocked kitchen we have seen as well. The location is great as you're between Boone and West Jefferson with the Blue Ridge Parkway very close. This will be my first choice from now on when booking a cabin. You will not be disappointed!!!!

There's no way to properly summarize this home. Have you ever thought "If I had my own cabin I'd do it right and put my heart and soul into everything in it, even though I am renting it out to others"? Well, stay here and you will see how it's done. This is what every rental should be. A role model for VRBO. A role model for all owners. So, in brief-ish summary: Amazing location, Incredible screened in porch, wood floors are perfect, best hot tub evah, completely stocked with utensils/equipment, awesome pots/pans, sharp knives, great stove, fridge with great ice maker, chairs everywhere, grill, portable "fire pit", hot water generator on demand ("infinite" hot water!). Oh, and dear lord the master bedroom shower with dual head and ceiling rain function. There is a perfect amount of instructions on how to operate everything. There is thought behind everything here. Honestly just watching the horses next door and occasionally feeding them apples was nearly the best part of the trip, just relaxing on that porch. This place has officially ended any searching I will ever do again in this area. It doesn't get better. Oh, and at the right time of year (such as when we were there) the fireflies rise up out of the pasture and set the whole field "ablaze". Amazing. That's it, I'm out of adjectives. Thank you for sharing your home, it is truly a gem among gems.

This cabin is very clean and wonderfully equipped. A hot cup of coffee on the large screen porch starts the day.. We hiked Flat Rock Trail, Linville Falls and Mt. Jefferson and explored W. Jefferson. The highlights of our hikes included seeing pink lady slippers, painted trilliums, a scarlet tanager, eastern towee & a blue headed vireo. We will be back!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay. Lovely view, great location close to Boone and West Jefferson. The horses across the street were great to visit and offered a highlight to the trip. The internet worked great which was helpful for some brief work and school tasks that needed to be done. The house was overall a bit dark, several light bulbs burnt out and the kitchen was hard to cook in due to low lighting.

We all loved the home. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The location was quiet and the horses across the street were a charming plus.
On the down side, we found the TV's difficult to use and there was no Netflix or other streaming included. One of the beds broke while we were there, but we let management know so hopefully future visitors will not have to deal with that.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

We absolutely loved the cabin! Plenty of room for 6 adults - we cooked a lot and couldn't have asked for a more stocked kitchen - had every utensil/pot we needed. The home was very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and made it very easy to cook for a large crew. It is about a 5 minute drive to a river access which wasn't bad at all. The horses across the street were a beautiful view to wake up too. The kids had a great time exploring across the street on the creek and relaxing in the hot tub. Favorite part of the entire house was the master bathroom shower. Absolutely gorgeous and just what we needed after coming off the river. Thank you for providing a beautiful home for our vacation. We can't wait to rent another home with this company next year. Only suggestion I have is to provide a few more towels and wash cloths.

Cabin as described, very clean. Kitchen stocked with everything you needed clean, prep and cook. King bed uncomfortable, mattress is on a metal frame without a box spring. Things to do are about 35-60 minute drive, not a bad drive. I recommend staying here, we will be back
