Indoor Spaces

• Sleeping arrangements: Seven bedrooms mean enough space for the whole fam. On the main level, you’ll find the primary bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find two more bed/bath combos with queen beds, as well as two sleeping nook rooms with queen beds. Downstairs are bedrooms six and seven, with king and queen beds respectively. 

• Main level: A bright and open floor plan connects the great room, dining area, and an expertly-equipped kitchen. The stone fireplace features a mounted TV. Watch a film, gather for a meal, or sit down for a game of chess. 

• Upper level: Head upstairs to look out over the great room from the bridge-style landing before heading to the upper-level bedrooms. 

• Lower level: Retreat to the lower level basement, and you’ll find yourself in the game room, including a pool table and karaoke mics. 

• Fraser Creek Lodge comes with WiFi, AC, and WiFi-enabled TVs for streaming. 

• All Stay Blue Ridge vacation rentals include a complimentary starter pack with soaps, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, dishwasher pods, and trash bags.

Local Surroundings

• From where the log cabin resides in Grassy Creek, you’re less than a 25-minute drive to both downtown West Jefferson and the town of Lansing. 

• Head on over to WJ to check out the antiques, artwork, and local businesses that make it such a special hub of activity. While you’re in town, make sure to dive a little deeper into the county’s history with visits to iconic locations like the Ashe County Cheese Factory and the Museum of Ashe County History, located in the historic 1904 courthouse. Hiking lovers can check out Mount Jefferson State Natural Area and its many different trails that take you on an exploration of the mountain. 

• Over in Lansing, you can get to know the locals on a deeper level at places like Molley Chomper Hard Cidery and The Liar’s Bench sandwich shop. 

• The Blue Ridge Mountains have some exceptional dining experiences tucked away outside of town limits. Less than 10 minutes from this rental is River House Inn & Restaurant, a bed and breakfast that doubles as a fine dining establishment, with live music on Sundays. If you want to venture a little further out, Red Dog Bar & Bistro in Piney Creek is under 20 minutes away and offers some of the best bites, brews, and cocktails you can find. 

• Outdoor adventure is aplenty here in Grassy Creek. You’re staying just a few miles away from the South Fork of the New River, a fan favorite for tubing and kayaking. Within 30 minutes are multiple access points to the Blue Ridge Parkway and its many hiking trails and lookout spots. Less than 40 minutes away is Grayson Highlands State Park, famous for its free-roaming and wild miniature ponies.

• Pet Policy: We love dogs, but pets are not allowed at this rental. If you have furry friends to bring along, try checking out our pet-friendly properties.    

• Access: It’s best to plan ahead when driving on mountain roads. We recommend 4WD or AWD, especially in the winter months. 

• Parties: Keep it peaceful in Grassy Creek. Beyond the guests staying at the rental, please refrain from hosting large events, parties, or gatherings.
