Set within a quiet gated community in Alleghany County, Green Mountain Getaway offers a peaceful mountain retreat. Elevated on a wooded hillside, this inviting log home combines scenic beauty with a layout designed for both relaxation and connection. Sleeping arrangements: Green Mountain Getaway sleeps 10 and includes three bedrooms with queen beds. Two bedrooms are located on the main level and one is downstairs. The two main-level bedrooms each include their own TV and easy access to full bathrooms with tub and shower combinations. Both rooms also offer direct access to the deck. Additional sleeping space is available with pull-out beds both downstairs and in the great room.

Main level: The central living area features high wood ceilings, warm flooring, and a comfortable seating arrangement centered around an electric fireplace and large TV. The open layout connects the living space with the kitchen and dining area, while a separate dining room provides seating for six. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials for preparing meals, along with small appliances for added convenience.

Lower level: Downstairs provides additional living and entertainment space, including a private bedroom, full bathroom, and a game area with a mini pool table, dartboard, and TV. For active folks, an exercise area provides an exercise bike, an elliptical, a row machine, and handheld equipment.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Green Mountain in Sparta. The cabin was roomy, well-appointed, clean, and in a beautiful wooded setting. We made daily trips to Stone Mountain State Park for some lovely hikes. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! It was everything we were looking for - private, peaceful, and fully stocked with everything needed for cooking great meals. The hot tub was a definite highlight, perfect for relaxing in the evenings under the stars. The cabin is tucked away in a gated community, which made us feel safe and truly secluded. An enjoyable part of our trip was getting to feed the deer. We used all the supplied corn and went to the meat store and bought a bag of corn to keep feeding the whole 10 days we were here. You can tell the owners really thought of everything to make guests comfortable. We really wished the sauna was working but, hope to be back to try it out one day. This was our first time as a family taking a trip to North Carolina and the accomodations provided were amazing. We enjoyed the location, the atmosphere, the space and the amenities that the home provided. Every detail was thought of and the customer service was very responsive. The property itself was just great. Plenty of space. Me and my kid took advantage of the game room and sauna. My only suggestion is that the road directly leading to the property and the driveway is extremely steep. Please use caution when arriving for these reasons.

This cabin was in a nice, secluded, gated neighborhood with plenty of forest all around to really enjoy the full mountain experience. The neighborhood road was dirt and gravel and 4 wheel drive was recommended (which we had) but we were lucky enough to have good enough weather where a family member's car got up the mountain several times without issue. The cabin was beautiful. It was roomy enough for our family to spread out (we had 8 in our group), some upstairs, some downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and kitchen-y things, the beds were very comfy, the table was big enough for about 6, the family room was great for chatting or watching TV and the finished basement was set up with a small pool/ping- pong/air hockey combo table and couch. This was and ideal place to meet up with family from afar and spend some time together for the holidays. We spent some time hiking and waterfall chasing at nearby Stone Mountain State Park and visited several wineries in the area.
