The house was clean, cozy, and warm- the perfect setting for a girls weekend! We loved walking downtown, taking the trolley to the winery, shopping, and watching Christmas movies. We can't wait to come back next year for our third year!

Clean, bright, cute old house was just a block from everything in West Jefferson yet very quiet. No dishwasher, no washing machine (no problem for us). Kitchen was outfitted with basics as you'd expect - plus a french press. Great to have a bedroom and a daybed on the first floor. Plenty of linens, everything we needed. Convenient entry with lock box. West Jefferson was a perfect small town for a girls' weekend getaway. Do be aware the host and service fees add up to more than $300! So looking at the cost per night is very misleading, especially for a short stay (the fees more than doubled the weekend price).

It is the cutest quaint little house. It has very vintage aspects but is super clean as well. The bath tub was adorable. The beds were comfy. We will definitely be back.

This cottage was the perfect setting for my annual girls' mountain weekend. We loved how close it was to the coffee shop, restaurants, and shopping. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt very safe. The home is so cozy. The beds are HEAVENLY as are the linens and pillows. We loved the old charm of the kitchen and how the sun poured in each morning. Cutest house! Lots of period details and short walk to downtown. The folks at Stay Blue Ridge were very accommodating with a special request. There is no dishwasher but it would have spoiled the charm of the very clean and well appointed kitchen. Would stay again.

We've stayed in this house before - loved it then and this time. House is clean, fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals or relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. It's a 2 minute walk to downtown and the neighborhood itself is very quaint and quiet. We would definitely stay there again!

This house is a perfect location for a family retreat. We used it for my son graduation from App State. Boone is an easy 30 minute drive and helps avoid the ridiculous hotel prices. My father has mobility issues. The street to the back door was flat and smooth. Ground floor master and bath also helped with his mobility issues. Two very cute and private bedrooms upstairs share a nice bathroom.

Very cozy, charming, and clean. Loved the antiques mixed with newer furnishings. The only negative would be the size of the bathrooms. They were on the tiny side with short toilets. Overall, we would stay here again.

Loved the house in West Jefferson - Homeplace 1936. Ended up, it was just my husband and I so plenty of room for the 2 of us, but definitely big enough for 6 people. While we didn't cook, there were plenty of utensils, cookware to cook meals. Bed was comfortable, couch/chair comfy to lounge in after a day of enjoying the area. Loved that we could walk downtown. The only negative for us was the driveway. It needs to be cleared a little more on the right side (going in) to make it easier to get in and out closer to the steps. Other than that, we would definitely rent again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The decoration style was really great. I was enthralled with the split use of the Hoosier cabinet in kitchen. The range took me waaaay back to my childhood - nothing we could buy today would last that long and still work. We enjoyed our daily walks downtown and the hills of park and library.

There were a few minor issues but overall this is a great property - I've stayed here several times over the past few years and have always really enjoyed it! It's within an easy walk of many downtown restaurants and shops and we also discovered a new Asian restaurant on the outskirts of downtown on this trip that we enjoyed a lot.

Homeplace 1936 was peaceful, quiet and relaxing! We enjoyed the location in walking distance to town! We loved the antique furniture. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. The furnishings in the kitchen took us back in time. Awesome! I loved the shower upstairs! The living room furnishings were very comfortable! It was a great vacation experience! Looking forward to our next adventure! A special Thank You to Jerrita for working with us on a very last minute reservation! It was much needed and very much appreciated!

We really enjoy this little home. Very cozy yet lives larger! We have been 2x this year, will schedule a couple more times for 2023. Clean, bright and very comfortable. The kitchen appliances, kitchen sink and lack of dishwasher is actually quite charming. Great yard to let kids play in with supervision (small creek). Never needed to call the management company during the stay but the times I did, prior to arrival, I found the staff very helpful (Pam). Thanks - jason

This charming vintage cottage is in the perfect location in downtown West Jefferson. So convenient to everything. Having sold my home I needed somewhere to stay while waiting to close on the house I purchased. Exciting but at times stressful. Every day that I walked in the door to this cottage helped to ease the stress away. I loved the vintage kitchen, the very comfortable bed, the lovely sunroom, comfy living room and dining area. Wonderful place.

My group of friends and I really enjoyed this place. It has the prefect location in downtown West Jefferson, comfortable beds, great amount of space inside, great amenities, but just all around a must stay when coming to West Jefferson. We had no issues with the place. Plan to come back and stay next year for when we come to get our Christmas Tree again!

All good with the only exception being the cooking situation. We enjoy cooking while on vacation. While the oven was quite retro, the temperature controls was not very good. Thanks

Beautiful home with plenty of room. Comfy beds and the home was clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy and walking distance to downtown which was great. There is no ice maker or ice trays to make ice…this is the only thing I wish the home had. Overall, great house and great time was had by all.

Very nice little vintage cottage feel. Beds were super comfortable, 5 min walk to main strip in town. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Felt very clean and well taken care of. Definitely would recommend and will be staying again soon.

This house is older but they’ve done a great job updating the inside. Beds are super comfortable.  Super quick walk down into town.
