Our family had a terrific Thanksgiving at your wonderful Indian Cave home, thank you for sharing it! The space was perfect for 6 adults: my husband and I, two of our sons, and two daughter in laws. There was plenty of space to add another guest or two. The home was well decorated and inviting, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed, and more, to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. Being half an hour from town was perfect as it allowed us to relax and enjoy each other’s company and the beautiful surroundings.

Staying at Indian Cave was the reset our family needed. Not just the whole family, but us as a couple as well. It had my wife and I talking a out selling all of our assets and moving up there, living a slower paced life. The quietness in the morning mountain air was priceless, the entire four days we were there, I thunk we might have seen one car drive by. On out last day we had a flat tire and no tools to change the tire with, so I called the rental agency and they made some phone calls, extended our stay to a late checkout and we got the help we needed. Staying at Indian cave was truely and awesome experience.

House was gorgeous!!! Very clean, everything we needed was well stocked, lots of room and plenty of things to do within driving distance. Like hiking, kayaking or tubing down the river, shopping, breweries and plenty of options for families!!! Hot tub & fire pit was a major plus!!! We will definitely be back!!!!!

Came to visit the area with my husband and friends for trail running races in Grayson Highlands Park across the VA border. We loved this cabin! Nice amount of space, well maintained, great location for outdoor adventures and serenity and the hot tub was just perfect for 4 of us. The development is beautiful, other houses had Mountain views but we enjoyed the privacy in our section with no neighbors. We would definitely come again, but be prepared with groceries, gas etc as there is nothing within 30 minutes basically and no service to search or map when out and about!

Perfect spot for a few days in the Mount Jefferson area. Easy drive to Oak Hill Academy as well. The beds were so comfortable we are trying to figure out what mattresses they use and the hot tub and porch hammock were so relaxing. Bummed we couldn't stay longer! Lots of space for a couple of families.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the river. We went tubing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Oh yeah, we took a hiking trip to the river. We hope to return and spend more time in the near future.

Great peaceful forest type cabin. Fascinating bird and wild life seen during our visit. Would say keeping it to 8 guests is best as space can be limited but the kitchen was perfect with lots of space and everything worked perfectly. They even put out little dog bowls for our dog. The host was excellent and immediately responded to a small issue we had. Fun walking trail to the river and only about 11 miles from west Jefferson which is great. Loads of incredible views within the community too.

Indian Cave is a large mountain home that easily accommodated my family of eight adults. There were hikes, easy neighborhood river access, a true Indian Cave complete with a Bobcat inhabitant, fishing and easy walk/drive to views, hot tub, large sitting decks, quite spaces and a very quiet location. The big plus for us was the home is Dog friendly.

The Indian Cave home is well appointed and has everything a large group will need on a mountain adventure vacation. The house accommodated our group of eight adults, all family, very nicely. The drive to the river was easy with good river access. The river kayaking from Kings Creek (2 hours + with stops to swim) or Dusty Trails (4.5 hours with lunch and swim stops) was perfect! The house hot tub was enjoyed multiple times, the large porches and seating allowed us to enjoy comfortable mountain breezes and beautiful mornings. We also needed a home to accommodate our two small dogs and this home was perfect. Thank you for the nice accommodations!

We absolutely loved the cabin and plan on coming back for another stay. The location was private and quiet. The house was beautiful inside and out and very spacious, it's the perfect place to get away for a few days. Definitely plan to bring food prior because the grocery store is about 30 min away. Also, don't recommend driving late at night due to the windy roads and deer. The hot tub worked great and the fire pit outside was huge and so cozy. Everything was as promised!

Nice cabin and neighborhood. Well appointed home, nice area to walk, great river! Fantastic fire pit area, unfortunately gas fireplace only lasted one night. No gas in the tank, BBQ is super small and falling apart. Overall a very enjoyable long weekend.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was CLEAN and spacious. Our boys enjoyed the neighborhood: we explored Indian Cave, walked the Waterfall Trail, and splashed in the New River. The location was great - close enough to Sparta and West Jefferson to provide plenty more to do. We would absolutely come back!

Loved house being secluded and the privacy. The house was so big with the wrap around porches that even if it rained there was plenty of room to enjoy outside. Close to New River and nature walks. Very quiet neighborhood. Only the sounds of nature to be heard. House was equipped with all that we needed.

The house was perfect for a family vacation for 5 adults and a teenager. The pictures show the wonderful property. The hot tub is on the lower deck (where the porch swing is shown in pictures). The kitchen is well equipped to fix any meal. The beds were very comfortable in each room. The deck has two hammocks and plenty of seating to enjoy the peaceful setting. There are a couple of ways to access the river. Red Dog is a great restaurant close by with delicious food and excellent service, when you don't want to cook! Blue Ridge Parkway provided outstanding views on our trip to Blowing Rock. West Jefferson was also an enjoyable trip with a quaint town and a wonderful place to purchase produce. Riverside Canoeing provided a fun activity for the family on the New River. The property manager was quick to reply with questions and check out was a breeze. It is a beautiful home. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Found this gem and can’t wait to go back! Cabin is in perfect location…..Tubing, hiking, exploring, relaxing….it is amazing. Fun for all ages. Hot tub is a bonus! Booking another week for sure!

Cool as the other side of the pillow...
Great place! Spacious and well appointed. Tucked back towards the end of a winding lane framed by hardwoods and long leaf pines. Porches wrap both levels. Fire pit with a huge flagstone patio. Hot tub. The works! Easy access to the river. Lots of trails. Nice linens and a full kitchen with plenty of cookware. Neat cave close to the property too. If you're looking for a comfortable classy cabin with lots of privacy this one's a great fit. Highly recommend!
