Our stay was fantastic from start to finish, beautiful location right on a river. We were seeing our son, who attends APP St., for the weekend. Would love to stay here again in the future, very close to Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great spot!

We enjoyed our stay at "Lazy Days on the River." The house was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals. We used the firepit each night and had a lovely display of stars to gaze upon. The river access in front of the home was nice. The depth allows for you to take a dip or rest upon one of the rocks close by. We drove our vehicle to the bridge that was approximately 2 miles away and walked back to the home (about 45 minutes). This gave us around a 2 hour float on our tubes. The bed was comfortable and the jetted tub was nice. We will definitely stay at this location again!

We enjoyed staying here so much, that we asked to stay an extra night. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us. It was the perfect house for our family of four. We had plenty of room. The house is much larger than I expected. We enjoyed floating in the river, coffee on the balcony in the morning, and Cocktails on the balcony in the evenings. The fire pit is beautiful, although we did not use it. We did enjoy playing frisbee in the huge backyard on the river. We can't wait to go back again!

We have been to this cabin twice before. It was nice to see the addition of the fire pit and access to the river. This is one of our favorite places to stay! The cabin has all the comforts of home. It was exceptionally clean also!

My husband & I decided to take a 3 day trip to the mountains before our second little boy arrives in July. This house is very nice, extremely clean, & easily accessible. We loved sitting out on the porch & down at the fire pit. We visited West Jefferson, Boone & Blowing Rock while we were there. We will definitely be back & will take the kids next time. Our son is 4&1/2 and we think he would love it here. Plenty of room for kids to play inside & outside!

A great getaway place with family. 15 minutes driving to nearest Food Lion. 20 minutes driving to Boone. You're a bit isolated out there. But the fire pit, the ducks, and deer in the early morning make it all worth it. Buy your firewood at Food Lion on the way in. Or do what we did and bring it from home.

Second time here and we'll be back. Quant little house on the New River close to many great restaurants close by. House is furnished with everything you'll need. Great firepit, unfortunately we were under a fire ban so we couldn't use it this time. Nice gas heater quickly heated up the house when we first got there as it was December. Just a great place to relax!

This was a great spot. We wanted to visit Boone and Blowing Rock. The location was perfect. Not too far away from the towns and still a beautiful neighborhood atmosphere. We felt very safe and the property was just fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

I was able to get your home this year when I needed. Wasn't sure what I was getting. It was perfect. One level,plenty of space, on the river and quiet. My son and I were even able to catch a few fish. It was what we both needed. Hoping to do it again next year Thank you.

The house was wonderful. Very very clean, well stocked with anything we could have needed. Enjoyed the well constructed firepit and seating area. Neighborhood is very friendly and clean. Enjoyed the close river even though I caught no fish, but it was great! Location is close to everything we wanted to do and we even found a few new eating spots with great food!! The only thing we found that needed attention were some of the blinds. The one in the 2nd bathroom got stuck in the up position and would not release. I accidently broke the small white knob where the strings come out trying to get it down and I am willing to replace it. Some of the others are hard to get down due to their age it appears but that won't stop us from coming back in the first week of December. Do I need to book it now to get our loyalty discount? Once again, this house is the best one we've rented from you so far and will be coming back!  Brian and Kim LeClair

Our family enjoyed a fantastic vacation in this cabin. The area was peaceful and quiet. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. There isn’t much of a cell signal, which was actually really nice to unplug! There is ample WiFi if you need it. My husband enjoyed fishing every day. The kids enjoyed playing in the river and I loved the big jacuzzi tub. The house is nicely centered between West Jefferson and Boone. We visited both towns a few times during the week. We absolutely loved this house and hope to rent it again!

I cannot say enough about this property. I have rented many vacation homes all over the country and this property was by far the best of the best. You could not have asked for anymore. The kitchen was fully stocked and so was the entire home. The king bed was a dream! The neighborhood is very relaxing and quiet. We really enjoyed our trip, thank you to the owners for a great vacation.

The home was lovely and the setting by the river was so relaxing! We toured Boone and Blowing Rock. We hiked every day! Banner Elk winery was beautiful and relaxing too. We went to Hebron Falls. It was a lovely hike to the waterfalls. We tried to eat at the Peddlin Pig and they ran out of BBQ ;) We were able to find another nice restaurant in the area though. We also enjoyed a hike around Price Lake. We loved our stay! We do wish that the outdoor grill was able to be used. We will be back!!

I don't want to say too many good things for fear it won't be available, but to be fair to the owners, this house is phenomenal. It was perfect for my family and me. The home is well-appointed. Its location is close enough to Boone to be convenient but remote enough to allow one to relax. The directions provided were very accurate. And the location is stunning.

Lovely home with everything we needed. Backyard is very scenic. Kids loved the bunk beds. No food delivery will come out this far and every restaurant is a hike is the one negative I should have considered before booking but that’s no fault of the owner! Home was clean and great.

This house was perfect for us! Super clean overall, well stocked kitchen cutlery, cooking & eating wares, nice fire pit, and easy kayak river access, all in a very quiet neighborhood!

Our family really enjoyed the cabin and location. It was clean and well taken care of. The small river for tubing was right behind the cabin and offered us a chance to get in the water when we wanted. The girls loved the fireflies at night and a curious beaver came out one evening also.
My only complaint was that there was no hose available to spray off our feet and shoes after coming out of the river (a little muddy).

A beautiful place on the New River in Todd, NC.
House was spotless. All light switches were labeled as to what they turned on. Kitchen was stocked with every utensil needed for a kitchen. On a lighter note, without the kids, we could not figure out how to get the Dish TV working, but that was just us. Got a good laugh with electronic challenged that we seem to be. It would be nice if you had a place where we could buy wood for the fire pit. Truly a nice home, quiet, peaceful. Porch was perfect place for coffee in the cool mornings. Thank you Judy, who did the reservations.

The entire process was easy, and the booking agent was very accommodating. the property was exactly as the pictures show. Perfect peaceful location too.
The home had plenty of kitchen appliances.. which were all spotless.Added bonus- the chap opposite side of the river sells fresh veg from his allotment/garden, we bought cabbage, tomatoes and potatoes.... great value and super tasty!
Definitely will return!

Absolutely amazing. A little far from everything; however, that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you want to truly relax, this is the spot. The cabin has everything and then some. The beds are very, very comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets. I would suggest bringing some extra towels however.
