We love this place. Have already booked twice and plan on visiting again. Great location and such a beautiful view. Abundant wildlife. We saw deer, turkeys, geese, and an eagle flying down the river.

The porch gives you a comfortable rocking chair vantage of the New River. We enjoyed the great fire pit located near the river. The home was well equipped for cooking, grilling and lounging. West Jefferson is just a short ride away. We will definitely come back again.

Emily, Colt and I had a wonderful stay. The property is perfect for a weekend getaway. The instructions were easy to follow, and the location of the house was perfect for easy access to the town, but private enough that we felt secluded for a mountain getaway. We hope to get back out to the property soon and hopefully during peak leaf season!

This was our 3rd visit to this property. It is a perfect gettaway for a couple to unwind. The weather was cool and gave us the much needed break from the heat! We only got to enjoy the firepit one evening because it was a little rainy. It still did not disappoint.

I miss the peaceful country home on the river. All you hear are birds and the small rapids on the river. No vehicle noise! Everything you need is in this comfortable home with the great river-faced porch and the large side screen porch. There is great hiking at Mt Jefferson and Elk Knob, along with the cute town of West Jefferson and the Old Barn Winery. Also, Stay Blue Ridge was great to work with.

We had a very relaxing much needed re-charge weekend at the Mountain River Getaway. We enjoyed sitting on the porches, listening to the soothing sounds of the river. The home was pristine and had everything we needed. You walk in to a warm welcome with snacks and water and an information filled binder. So helpful to have all the light switches labeled, thank you for that! The town of West Jefferson was having an antique fair during our visit, an added bonus. I almost hate to give it a good review because we want to keep it our little secret getaway. We are looking forward to future visits!

My husband and I had the most amazing time at this beautiful farmhouse. The peace and comfort it offered made us wish we could stay for a year or two! The cozy screened porch and the view of the river made us feel so calm and at ease. Even though we had some rain, it was still delightful to sit on the porch and watch the storms. The house was super clean, the beds were comfy, and the wifi was strong – everything we needed for a great stay. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we loved spending evenings on the porch with the deer in the yard. Stay Blue Ridge was awesome with their communication, and the house exceeded our expectations. Honestly, part of me wants to keep this place all to ourselves, but I know it's too good not to share! The location was perfect – easy to find and so peaceful at the end of the road. Huge thanks to the owner for sharing this little slice of paradise with us. May God bless them as much as they have blessed us. Already planning our next visit!

This is a wonderful place!!! Dogs will love it for mine did. Being right on the water, hearing the water, and seeing floaters past in the day is something to experience. Will be renting this again and just wished I owned it!

We enjoyed staying at the cabin and relaxing. It rained most of our stay but it was so peaceful and quiet. The river was high but we relaxed in the rocking chairs on the porch while we listened to it flow by. The screened in porch was my favorite spot to watch it rain and listen to it. So refreshing! We could see deer in the pasture across the fence and occasionally some would come in the yard! We had does with spotted fawns visit! I love the recliners in the living room! There's a fireplace but it wasn't needed. The bed was soft and cozy. I would definitely recommend this place for a couple! Not far from West Jefferson, our favorite place to visit. I hope we can stay here again! ❤️

This was amazing, peaceful, relaxing and fun! Great family memories were made! Also, there are some crazy deer around. One tried to get into the house! I guess the apple trees out front weren't enough. It was nice to see the deer daily though. Both of the porches are amazing! We can't wait to come back! The house does have AC, but it is only one window unit so be prepared to use the provided fans to assist in movement of cool air from the bedroom to the living room and kitchen. We have a similar setup at home so this was just like home. We loved it! We would totally buy this property if the opportunity and circumstances ever presented themselves! We just want to go back!

Our stay was a wonderful! The house was so comfortable and the setting is beautiful. The breezy screen porch with the sound of the river was our favorite spot! Lots of privacy, well stocked kitchen, good wifi. Husband enjoyed the fishing and our dog enjoyed the yard. Highly recommend.

We plan to go back soon. We loved the house and the gorgeous views! The river is beautiful and so peaceful. Our dog loved playing in the river, leashed of course. The firepit by the river was us! Everything we needed for cooking was provided. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept on at any hotel or rental we have visited.

If you're looking for peaceful, quiet seclusion, it doesn't get any better than this. The house and property are pristine, clean and lovely. You'll feel your soul unwind as you listen to the river, the geese, and little else. A very special place. The house is comprised of a living area, a kitchen/dining area and a bedroom. The bedroom includes a private bathroom and an enclosed laundry room. While there is a sofa bed in the living room, the home is best suited for a couple, as the only bathroom is in the bedroom. There is a large patio facing the river as well as a large screened porch with comfy chairs, a bench swing and a picnic table. There is also a nice fire-pit seating area near the river. The location has easy access to both the Parkway and the town of West Jefferson. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We look forward to visiting again!
