A gas-burning fireplace anchors the open great room, while the fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to whip up a feast or just keep the charcuterie flowing. Large windows that frame views of the surrounding greenery and river below let natural light flow in. Plush seating and a smart TV make the living area an inviting place to gather. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, and all the essentials needed for anything from simple breakfasts to shared dinners.

Stylish and chic, this deck is perfect for catching up with friends and reading your favorite books. When dusk rolls in, pour a glass of wine and enjoy the serene sounds of the surrounding nature.
• The hot tub is tucked into a private, uncovered corner of the deck, surrounded by trees for a more immersive, nature-filled experience.
• A propane fire pit creates a cozy gathering point once the sun goes down.
• A private footpath leads from the property down to the river, offering direct access for fishing, exploring, or quiet moments by the water.

• Necessary Time is located about 10 minutes from downtown West Jefferson, where you’ll find restaurants, galleries, and local favorites like Ashe County Cheese Factory and Red Dog Bar & Bistro. You can shop for locally-made goods like honey and handmade souvenirs, then stop into breweries like Boondocks or New River Brewing for a flight of craft beers. Want the rooftop experience? • The Blue Ridge Parkway is also just 10 minutes away, offering scenic drives, overlooks, and trailheads. You’ll want to take your time year-round, but especially during the fall when the foliage transforms into warm reds, oranges, and yellows.
• Elk Shoals access at New River State Park is nearby, providing an easy launch point for paddling, tubing, or riverside picnics. You’re also close to several outfitters who can get you set up with boats, tubes, and any other equipment you may need for a day on the water.
• Boone and Blowing Rock are within a 45-minute drive, offering expanded dining, shopping, and cultural attractions. Visiting in the winter? Head to Boone to hit the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain for a day of snowtubing, skiing, and snowboarding.
