This home was perfect for our family of 4 and dog. It was clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed playing/fishing at the river all weekend. The hot tub was such a plus. I was very appreciative of the things they left for our dog… leash, poop bags, large crate, dog bed, dog blankets, dog toy and dog towel. The beds were very comfortable and the king mattress felt like our Casper mattress at home. We will definitely be staying here again.

The cabin was perfect! Cozy and very clean. Being right on the river was amazing!! It was very cold and there was ice floating down the river. Woke up Saturday morning to a beautiful snow. We'll definitely be back!!!!

Everything about the cabin was incredible! Serene and peaceful by a river with lots of wild life and close enough to explore downtown west Jefferson. We spent many mornings and evenings on the porch and plan to continue to return! We traveled with two infants and the basement set up was perfect for us to sleep and put our two pack and plays

We enjoyed our trip and staying at "On River Time". We enjoyed the river, especially our dog My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub also. The cabin was nice. We made all of our meals there. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be that the sleeper sofa needs replacing it is worn out. We really did enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the cabin. It felt like we were the only people on that mountain We saw lots of rabbits and deer. I was hoping to see a bear but didn't Maybe next time. We will definitely be back.

Just as described. Beautiful cabin with privacy. Nice fenced in yard was great for our dog to have freedom. River was deep enough to swim in the summer and the tree would give nice shade. Enjoyed relaxing on the patio furniture and a fire in the pit as well.

The cabin was everything the pictures show. It was perfect for the two of us and our small dogs, but could accommodate more. The river out front was beautiful and peaceful. The large fenced yard was great for the dogs. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin was clean and well stocked for cooking. It is close enough to West Jefferson and other sites but far enough away for some privacy.

As much as I want to keep this place a secret.. it is amazing! House is perfect for a small family. It was very clean and had all of the amenities you could need. Company was also very responsive. We loved the view, the river, and the hot tub. The fence was great for our dog, but make sure to check the fencing if you have a small dog as there are a few holes in it. Close enough to town, but far away enough from the noise. We will definitely be back!

2nd year staying at On River Time. Cabin is very cozy and well stocked with almost anything you would need. In a great location not far from Jefferson but still has the secluded cabin feeling. Easy access to the river and plenty of porch space to enjoy the view. This has turned into our go to mountain get away! We had a fabulous time at On River Time in every way. The accommodations were fantastic and everything was stocked. My favorite part was definitely the fenced in backyard for our dogs and being right on the river. I definitely plan to go back as soon as I can. This is an ideal location...easy to get to and very quiet at the same time. Great, easy river access (and it's a nice depth/layout here - you can just hang out and enjoy it, or float in/float out if you like). You're 10-15 minutes from the Jeffersons or Lansing. The cabin was clean and we loved that everything was labeled for use. Great time and would definitely come back again.

The cabin is beautiful and the yard was perfect for our, Leena. She loved romping around, playing ball and watching the wildlife as well as the people floating by, on the river. The one thing I would say needs to be added, would be taller stools by the kitchen island. Since it was just the two of us, we found it difficult to reach the counter using 1 stool, plus they are a bit hard to sit on. Other than that, the bed was comfortable as was the sofa and chairs. We loved sitting outside, watching the birds and butterflies! We will definitely consider renting there again! Each morning we were greeted by deer as I looked out the kitchen window. Amazing!

The cabin was in a perfect location and we had a wonderful time! It snowed while there and we enjoyed the hot while watching it snow. The cabin was perfect for 2 adults and would be fine for 2 adults and 2 kids; but there are some limitations. There is no inside eating space other than a bar area for 2. During the summer there would be pleanty of deck table and outdoor table eating space. The kitchen was well appointed and the internet and streaming entertainment options was better than most. The furnishing were comfortable although we had a small issue with the bed falling it was resolved. the fireplace is electric but it was warm and was greatly enjoyed with the beautiful Christmas decorations. Again for 2 adults I would not hesitate to stay again and RELAX on river time.

The slow motion of the water, the murmur of a small rapids, the rustling of the leaves , the vibrant colors, the occasional cautious deer and the slight chill in the air all contribute to our enchanting and very relaxing visit.

The cabin’s modern appliances, WiFi, smart TVs, seasonal decorations, well placed lighting, numerous outlets, comfortable furniture all demonstrated Janet and Don’s exceptional attention to detail. We’ve stayed at many places and this is the most homelike place we’ve ever stayed!

My husband and I desperately needed a getaway. A time out from everyday tasks and all the other distractions. This was the perfect spot! From tubing down the New River, walking 1.5 miles back to the cabin, small town living, riding down curvy back roads, and being surrounded by God's beautiful country. It was all perfect!

Most Relaxing Mountain Escape
It rained the whole weekend we were there but the cabin made it cozy and relaxing. We sat on the beautiful back porch and watched the river flow while it rained. We hung in the hammock chairs and drank our coffee. We even dipped in the hot tub below. ALL the beds in the cabin are comfy, even the pull out queen downstairs with mattress topper! We cannot recommend this space enough and hope to be back again soon!

Breathtaking & Comfortable
While the pictures are accurate, they don't do the incredible beauty of the property and the view justice. We barely left the property because it was so nice sitting on the porch or by the river reading, playing in the river, vegging in the comfortable living room on a rainy morning, or cooking in the nice kitchen. When we did go out, Mt Jefferson and West Jefferson were convenient, and they weren't overcrowded like some other tourist towns. The whole experience was better than we had ever hoped it would be.

Great Trip
A great place for a peaceful stay. Cabin is great and the river view is gorgeous. Large front porch is perfect for morning coffee overlooking the river. Lots of wildlife views. It is also convenient to both Lansing and West Jefferson for very easy trips into either town.

Cozy Cabin by the river
We visit On River Time at least once a year. We love it! I could sit on the porch and read and watch the river for hours. It is the perfect size cabin for our family of four. This cabin has the perfect location, giving you the option to go to Lansing or West Jefferson for dinner and shopping.
