From check-in to check-out it was everything you could imagine! Clean, well organized and had everything we could possibly need! The deer greeted us each day and we enjoyed relaxing in the chairs down by the river. This place is a MUST!

This house was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would possibly need. It had even more cups, dinnerware, utensils and kitchen stuff than I do in my own home! The outside entertainment area with TV was amazing to sit out and enjoy the weather and nature. We truly enjoyed the game room and hot tub also! It was an amazing home to stay in! I would highly recommend!

This was one of the best getaways we have ever had, by far. The owners were so thoughtful about the details, which made our stay more comfortable and entertaining. The fully supplied kitchen was a dream when cooking for a large number of people. Floats and kayaks were available for enjoying the beautiful and peaceful river. The decks were perfect for relaxing while we watched the deer come in throughout the day. I can't say enough about the owners who clearly went out of their way to make our stay perfect! We would recommend this home without hesitation and look forward to returning again.

We had the best time with our family. The house is beautiful, clean, efficient, modern, with very good attention to detail so your stay is very comfortable. Fishing was great!! The kids had a ball on their floats!! We hope to return in the near future.

River Rendezvous was an amazing place to celebrate a 50th bday weekend. The kitchen is a dream with extras galore! We spent so much time on the back porch with all the provided blankets. Everyone loved the comfy beds and gorgeous bathrooms. The hosts gave great recommendations for food and activities. I would love to stay here again and will highly recommend to friends!

What is there not to say a about this beautiful home overlooking the river! The home itself has a great layout, multiple couples or. families can stay here and everyone has their own large private space. The main floor has a very large well stocked kitchen. The dining table has generous comfortable seating that has great views out the sliding glass doors. If you happen to be there on a chilly evening the fireplace in the living room is an added bonus. If your friends are family are gamers or sports oriented the bottom floor offers a bar, seating to watch the game or games to play as a group. The hot tub was very clean and right up to the house so you do not have to walk far once you get out. The owners have taken into account all you could need while you are away from home to make this as comfortable and accommodating as your own home if not better. We fished right from the riverbank and caught several different species of fish. If you want to head into town there is an abundance of things to see and do, breweries, shops, antique shops. We caught a car show while we were there. We will be planning another trip in the warmer weather to take advantage of the proximity of the river to kayak and float.

Tucked away in a quiet, gated community, the home feels completely secluded, with only the sounds of the river and birds for company. Mornings on the porch, overlooking the wide backyard and flowing New River, were pure serenity. It was the perfect spot for coffee, reading, or simply soaking in the stillness. Inside, the house is just as impressive. The kitchen is fully stocked and features high-end appliances that made cooking feel luxurious. Downstairs, the bar and game area was a favorite—we played endless rounds of ping pong and pop-a-shot, and even set the high score on Donkey Kong 3! We spent our days wading and floating in the river, relaxing in the hot tub, and our evenings grilling on the deck or gathered around the fire pit. The whole stay felt like a dream—peaceful, fun, and completely refreshing. Whether you’re looking to unplug and unwind or make memories with friends and family, River Rendezvous delivers it all. We’re already planning our return trip.

Our family of seven and two pups relished the chance to relax and take in all the natural wonder and decor this home offers! From the moment we stepped in the door, we knew this would be the perfect mix of luxury and outdoor glory. The river itself is such a staple in this home! You can hear the soft current from all rooms of the house and, of course, from the expansive outdoor living areas. The backyard is adorned with breathtaking views and a peacefulness that attracts multi-generations of deer. Not a day went by that we didn't get to study the deer! The furnishings are top of the line with beautiful wall hangings, spa-like bathrooms, and plush beds and linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with extras such as a waffle maker and charcuterie platter. Groceries were not too far away and the local restaurants added to the small-town charm we experienced all week. Delicious food & exceptional service! It's obvious the owners take great pride in creating an experience, not just a place to lay your head. There are fun family games scattered throughout the home and personal touches that you will notice in every room (not to mention the doggie hotel under the stairs). If you have any hesitation booking, don't think twice your hunt is over! Although we were only two hours from home; we left feeling like we had traveled to a novel spot with full hearts and an assurance we will be back!

We had a wonderful 6-person stay at this newly built home on the New River near West Jefferson, NC. The location is private and peaceful, with expansive views of the river and the soothing sound of flowing water from the outdoor spaces. We saw deer every morning and evening, which made the setting feel special. What made our experience even more exceptional was sharing this natural beauty with our dog - it's increasingly rare to find such a pristine getaway that welcomes four-legged family members, we created memories without leaving anyone behind! The home is thoughtfully designed with a great flow—perfect for a larger group to gather, yet still cozy and comfortable for a smaller group. The open layout, well-appointed kitchen, and generous amenities made our stay easy and enjoyable. The large windows bring the outdoors in, and there are plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating options for relaxing and taking in the views. It’s just a short drive to the charming town of West Jefferson, where we had a fantastic dinner at Craft Bistro and enjoyed browsing local shops. We highly recommend this home for a stay any time of year—it’s a true gem!

This is a spectacular home with all the beautiful finishes, decor, features, and lots of little extras. We loved sitting on the back porch that overlooks the river; the view is uninhibited by the railings and it was lovely. This home has plenty of space, with roomy bedrooms/full baths, huge kitchen with coffee bar, a rec space that we enjoyed, plus a hotbtub. Sparkling clean and comfortable in every way. Perfect space for your mountain retreat - we came home refreshed! Thank you, we will be back!

Quiet River Retreat perfect inside and out.
Spent a much needed long weekend at River Rendezvous with 2 other couples. It is truly a quiet oasis. There was enough open space in the house while offering areas of privacy to read, rest and relax. The fishing on the river was good. It was too cold to boat but you could right up to the island out the back. We used the hot tub on the last night as it was large and very clean. Perfect end to our weekend holiday. Kitchen was so well equipped we even had a gravy boat for our chicken dinner. The area is quant and very small town feel but lots to do, the restaurants in the area are exceptional and if you need bigger, Boone wasn’t that far away. Well worth the price to stay here and we are already planning our next trip.

Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway for a 50th Birthday Celebration!
We recently spent a memorable girls' weekend at this stunning river house to celebrate a 50th birthday, and it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the designer decor - every room was beautifully curated with a perfect blend of style and comfort. We enjoyed the large, picturesque windows that offer breathtaking views of the river. The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need - from kitchen essentials to cozy linens. We spent most of our time on the large back porch, which had an incredible view of the river. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. The owner was incredibly gracious, providing us with fantastic recommendations for the nearby winery and lovely restaurants. This river house is a dream for a girls' weekend getaway, and we can't recommend it enough. It's the perfect balance of luxury, relaxation, and adventure — we'll definitely be back for more celebrations in the future!

Gorgeous home in a gorgeous setting
This home is so well thought out with so many little touches to make your stay special. It was perfect for our 6 couple get away for a long holiday weekend. We had our little dog with us. They even have a cozy spot set up for dogs in the game room with a doggie door and blanket in case your fur baby needs some alone time. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and comforters were luxurious. The bathroom were beautiful and numerous and very well stocked. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed the island was huge, it was more like a small country instead of an island. We cooked and danced around all weekend. We spent some time on the porch off the dining area we spent time in the hot tub. We fished and caught numerous fish from croakers to trout to bass. We explored downtown West Jefferson. We played the electronic game in the game room and shot some hoops. The owners thought of everything. There were towels for the hot tub a foot nook in the shower for shaving, 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers in the kitchen. So many TVs everyone could watch a different program and there would still be TVs not being utilized. 4 days was not long enough to take advantage of all the spaces and amenities in the house. We will definitely be back.
